How to Prepare for Your Consultation

You do not need to have everything figured out. However, gathering a few items can help maximize our time together. Save ideas from Pinterest, Houzz, or magazines. Separate your non-negotiables from your “nice-to-haves.” If you are building an addition, locate any existing blueprints or land surveys.

How long does the consultation take?

The in-person site evaluation usually takes between 45 to 90 minutes, depending on the size of your project.

Do all decision-makers need to be present?

Yes. We highly recommend that all homeowners or decision-makers attend so we can align on the design, budget, and expectations from day one.

Do you handle the building permits and city inspections?

Yes, we handle 100% of the permitting process. Our team prepares the architectural plans, submits applications to the local building department, pays the fees, and coordinates all required city or county structural, electrical, and plumbing inspections.

What does your payment schedule look like?

We never ask for the full amount upfront. We use a milestone-based payment schedule tied directly to project progress. You will pay a standard deposit to secure your slot on our schedule and order materials. The remaining balance is split into clearly defined installments paid only after specific phases pass inspection (e.g., foundation, framing, drywall, and final walkthrough). Prefer to finance the whole project? We also work with Acorn Financing for loans up to $100,000.

Are you fully licensed, insured, and bonded?

Yes. We carry full general liability insurance, workers’ compensation, and a comprehensive bond to protect your property and our crew. We are fully licensed residential contractors registered with the state. License # L.107983
